Spoiler free review – Firstly I want to say a huge thank you to @avonbooks, for allowing me to be apart of this tour. I was so intrigued by the synopsis of this book and I couldn’t wait to start unraveling the story.
Now this book did take me a while to get into and I had to force myself through the first few chapters. I felt like we have a lot thrown at us in the first few chapters and it’s hard to keep track of what the story actually is. It was a little messy for me and hard for me to get into.
HOWEVER, once I got to around chapter 12 my curiosity began to take over. I was starting to understand the story and already trying to piece it together. The story has two main stories within the one, the death of Holly, a teenage girl and the kidnap of our main characters child. Both of the stories begin immediately and the way they interlink keeps the reader on their toes.
The plot of the stories has lots of twists and turns that keep you in the edge and wanting to read on. Overall, I did enjoy this story and recommend it to those who like thriller, detective storylines. As long as you can get through those first few chapters, the ending is definitely worth the read 🤭
