Quote That Stood Out Most – “you don’t keep that many handmade scarves for no reasons. It occurs to me that Leon could actually be any kind of weird”
I absolutely loved this, it’s such a feel good read!
I picked this up because I found it very intriguing, I wanted to see how the flat share would work because this could literally happen in this day and age, with everyone having to work and living costs being so expensive. I was curious.
Our main characters are Leon and Tiffy and I can’t believe how well Beth O’Leary used her writing skills here. There were completely different writing styles for Tiffy’s and Leon’s parts in the book. Beth O’Leary really let us get to know the characters by doing this, Leon had shorter sentences and sometimes they were more like thoughts than actual sentences, but then tiffy has longer sentences which are thoughtful and descriptive. They work so well together and I love that. As well as this Beth O’Leary also used letters, text and other dialog. It made for a super easy and fast paced read. One of those books that you could easy just come.on.reading!
I loved the fact that there were so many ‘mini’ stories within the main one, this kept it super interesting and also realistic.
Overall I absolutely loved it and feel like ta definitely a book I could re-read. It had the right amount of emotion, humour and everything. Go read it people 😝
